Module 1 covers the theory behind stammering. What it means, what causes it, what actually happens to a person when they stammer, who it affects, and more.
​
In Module 2 I'll show you the red flags to look for with your child who is stammering and when you need to refer to Speech and Language. I'll also highlight the impacts on a person who stammers and how these can be barriers to their learning and development.

Module 2 continues on, showing you the role of a Speech and Language Therapist in supporting a person who stammers and I'll give you insight into some of the tips and resources I use with my patients. I'll spend some time showing you some strategies you can use with the child in your setting who stammers, showing you how to alter for different age groups and needs.

In module 3, I answer some common questions I get asked about stammering. I've also included information on further sources of information and support for you, if you need them.
